Lecture 27 - Stationary Waves, Eigenvalues and Eigenfunctions

Having briefly discussed the wave equation in the previous lecture, in this lecture we introduce the idea of standing waves and the related concept of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions. This has direct bearing on stationary-state solutions of the Schrodinger equation to be discussed in the following lectures.
