Great Artists with Tim Marlow is an art documentary series presented by Tim Marlow, looking at the lives and works of some of the greatest artists in history. The series aired in 2001 consists of 14 episodes, each of which deals with a different artist and his works. The artists covered by the series include Giotto, Leonardo, Durer, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, Bruegel, Rubens, Rembrandt, Vermeer, El Greco, Velazquez, Turner, and Van Gogh. Shot in over 50 museums, churches and palaces around the world, this series presents an introduction to the artists and their works.

El Greco (1541-1614) was a painter, sculptor, and architect of the Spanish Renaissance. Tim Marlow examines the life and works of El Greco, featuring his works such as The Disrobing of Christ and The Burial of Count Orgaz. His religious beliefs gradually began to dominate his work, giving it a spiritual intensity.
