The Universe (Season 3)
The Universe is a History Channel documentary series exploring the wonders of the universe and the advanced physics concepts in the fields of cosmology, astronomy and astrophysics. The Universe (Season 3) consists of twelve episodes, exploring space disasters, mysteries in our universe and wonders of the universe. Topics covered in this season three include: deep space disasters, parallel universes, sex in space, an imaginative look at life on other planets, an apocalyptic attack of asteroids and comets, living in space, the most bizarre things in our universe, and Earth-like planets. The series features a mix of historical footage, photographs from space telescopes, and computer-generated graphics, as well as interviews with experts from universities and scientific institutions around the world.
Cosmic Phenomena: A look at various cosmic phenomena, both "good" - such as the beauty of the aurora borealis, the thrill of a meteor shower, the miracle of photosynthesis, and the "bad" - such as UV radiation that can "get under our skin", and solar flare activity that can not only scramble electronics, but could threaten life on Earth.
