Episode 02 - The Harvest of the Seasons. This episode explains early human migration, agriculture, the introduction of tools, and the domestication of animals. Jacob Bronowski follows Iran's Bakhtiari tribe, which migrates as it did 10,000 years ago; and visits the ancient city of Jericho, where village agriculture began. He also looks at the evolution of the wheel and the plow, and an ancient horseback game in Afghanistan. The cultivation of wheat, which led to the domestication of animals, is observed in detail.
