What is AI and will It Take Away Our Jobs?

This talk aims to give a non-mathematical overview of recent developments in artificial intelligence, and discuss some contemporary achievements as well as applications of machine learning. I will cover basic concepts of relevant technologies at a high level, with the objective of giving the audience an idea of the actual capabilities of state-of-the-art AI methods, such as those based on e.g. deep-learning.

Dr. Antti Ukkonen is a data scientist at Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH) with 10+ years of experience in the design of algorithms for data analysis and machine learning.
