Michael Palin's Hemingway Adventure is a four-part BBC documentary series presented by Michael Palin, following in Hemingway's footsteps across the globe to celebrate one hundred years after the birth of Ernest Hemingway. The series records Palin's travels as he visited many sites where Ernest Hemingway had been. The sites include Spain, Chicago, Paris, Italy, Africa, Key West, Cuba, and Idaho. And also it reveals the man behind the legend: a hard-drinking, controversial figure who wrote like a dream.

Michael Palin follows Ernest Hemingway's footsteps across Europe, Africa and America. He starts in Spain for Pamplona's bull run, Valencia's bullfighting and a Kenyan safari.

Michael Palin visits America, Italy and France whilst tracing Hemingway's footsteps, including Hemingway's birthplace, Oak Park in Chicago, and the Italian front where Hemingway was shot and wounded.

After visiting Key West, USA to celebrate Hemingway's 100th birthday, Michael Palin goes to Uganda and looks at the site where Hemingway's plane crashed. And then he flies on to Venice, Italy.
Michael Palin's Hemingway Adventure, Episode 4
Michael Palin goes to Cuba where he finds many Hemingway leads and visits his former home and a hotel room he often stayed in.
