Caribbean with Simon Reeve is a three-part BBC documentary series hosted by Simon reeve, traveling around the edge of the Caribbean Sea. With thousands of beautiful islands and a long mainland coast, the Caribbean is a vast area spanning a million square miles. Home to some of the most dangerous places on the planet, it is also one of the most vibrant, exciting and extreme regions on earth. Episode 1 - Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Puerto Rico
Simon Reeve begins his journey around the Caribbean on the island of Hispaniola and its two very different countries - the Dominican Republic, a tourist hotspot, and Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere. He ends this first leg on Puerto Rico.
Episode 2 - Venezuela and Colombia
Travelling from the stunning Caribbean islands of Barbados and St. Vincent to the diverse mainland coast of Venezuela and Colombia, Simon Reeve meets the region's extraordinary people, and explores some of the issues they face.
Episode 3 - Nicaragua, Honduras, and Jamaica
Simon Reeve begins his journey on the remote Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, travels to the beautiful Honduran island of Roatan and encounters extreme violence on the mainland of Honduras, before finishing his adventure on the iconic island of Jamaica.
