Wild Australia

Wild Australia is a four-part National Geographic documentary series that features Australia’s iconic and mysterious wild animals including the cassowary, tree-kangaroo, dingo, echidna and platypus. Although most of Australia is semi-arid or desert, it includes a diverse range of habitats from alpine heaths to tropical rainforests. In the heart of Australia lives the red kangaroo, the largest marsupial on earth and a true master of adapting to the blistering desert heat. The tropical rainforest in the country's North-East is home to kangaroos who climb trees, the largest crocodiles on Earth, and colourful birds. The hostile dry plains of southern Australia are home to some extraordinary and lethal animals including deadly ants, killer bunnies and the surprisingly vicious wombat. The eastern eucalyptus forests are home to cuddly-looking koalas, birds that build elaborate nests, snakes, and odd egg-laying mammals.
