Monty Don's French Gardens
Monty Don's French Gardens is a three-part BBC documentary series hosted by Monty Don, telling the stories about some of the most famous and interesting gardens in France. In the first episode "Gardens of Power and Passion", visiting France's most important historic gardens, Monty Don sees how throughout history the French have used gardens as a public expression of money, power and passion. Then he turns to the French love of food and finds out how this has influenced their gardens: "The Gourmet Gardens". In the final leg of his French garden tour, Monty Don turns to France's famous artistic tradition to see what influence it has had on the country's gardens, traveling to some of the most celebrated artists' gardens.

Episode 2 - The Gourmet Gardens
To find out how the French love of food has influenced their gardens, Monty Don travels to some of the most famous 'potager' or kitchen gardens, where vegetables and flowers are planted together in elaborate and beautiful displays.
Episode 3 - The Artistic Garden
In this episode, Monty Don turns to France's famous artistic tradition to see what influence it has had on the country's gardens, traveling to some of the most celebrated artists' gardens.
